Boomrock: Where are we?

Situated just 25 minutes from Wellington in Ohariu Valley.

Transport will be arranged from any location in Wellington. We will pick you up and drop you off at any central city location. For a faster more scenic ride, take the Helipro chopper from Wellington’s water front and arrive at Boomrock 6 minutes later. An alternative option is a guided horse trek from the Country Club, riding over the rugged landscape of Ohariu Valley and along the cliff tops to Boomrock.

Can we drive out to Boomrock?
Can we organise our own transport?
It is the policy of Boomrock to arrange return transport for our guests. We must insist that our guests do not travel into Boomrock by private car. This decision was made in light of being responsible hosts, taking into account the Johnsonville access road, Papanui Station metal road and the Health and Safety Act.

What are the benefits of having organised transport?
Your group arrives at one time meaning your function can start as soon as you wish.

No one will get lost on the way to Boomrock.

There will be no disturbances throughout the day with people coming in and out at varying times.
