The 3200 acre property on a fully operational farm is broken into three main areas, the lodge, the track and the bunkers.  While here guests can simply enjoy our stunning views and light hearted activities or opt for the adrenalin junkies dream. You can utilise one or all of the areas and facilities we have available.

The Lodge offers the comfort of an open fire, seating for up to 100 guests and  superb views of the South Island.  This is the ideal location for your wedding, conference, team building event, corporate or private celebration. The Track is both a race and training environment utilising the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The purpose built shelter provides a unique spectators advantage of the skid pan area & home straight but also a relaxed location for a light BBQ lunch.

The Bunkers
Boomrock has developed "The Bunkers", three five stand sporting clay fields for corporate clients and shooting enthusiasts. Located south of the Lodge and set amongst tranquil native bush overlooking
the Cook Strait towards the South Island.

Nestled into the natural surroundings, the Lodge has stunning views over the Cook Strait to the South Island. A feeling of warmth is created by the Jarrah flooring, huge wharf beams and roaring open fire

Transport will be arranged from any location in Wellington. We will pick you up and drop you off at any central city location. 

For a faster more scenic ride, take the Helipro chopper from Wellington’s water front and arrive at Boomrock 6 minutes later. An alternative option is a guided horse trek from the Country Club, riding over the rugged landscape of Ohariu Valley and along the cliff tops to Boomrock.

We have had a number of 2 and 3 day meetings where guests have stayed in central Wellington coming out to Boomrock each day. We organise for guests to be collected from their accommodation in the morning, transferred to Boomrock, and returned to their accommodation in the evening.

We are happy to suggest suitable accommodation for you and your guests in Wellington.

Can we drive out to Boomrock?  
If you would like to come to visit us for a site visit we can arrange a time and send a map to you.  

We can make some exceptions for a small number of guests to drive on the function or wedding date, please call us to discuss.

Can we organise our own transport?
It is the policy of Boomrock to arrange return transport for all our guests. We must insist that our guests do not travel into Boomrock by private car. This decision was made in light of being responsible hosts, taking into account the Johnsonville access road, Papanui Station metal road and the Health and Safety Act.

Can we get a band?
Yes and we can help you with some excellent contacts that may be suitable.

Is there enough room for dancing?
Yes. We also have an extensive selection of music.
